The Bristol Post

AT the moment, around two per cent of our customers in Bristol are experiencing intermittently slower broadband speeds and, when something's gone wrong, we believe it's important to hold our hands up, apologise and fix the problem as soon as possible.

Our team in Bristol has found that four of the 230 network nodes in the area are not delivering the broadband speeds our customers rightly expect. We're speaking to the people affected and our engineers are working on the problem as a top priority. We'll have everyone back up to speed as soon as possible and we apologise for the inconvenience.

You're right that broadband companies should deliver the speeds they promise. We're proud of our broadband and Ofcom, the independent industry watchdog, has repeatedly proven Virgin Media offers the UK's fastest widely available broadband and that we are the leader in delivering the speeds we sell. Virgin Media is the only company to publish the typical speeds we deliver. Your readers can find them at www.virginmedia.com/speedhonesty. We will continue to work hard to deliver an outstanding experience to every Virgin Media customer.
