A woeful start is costly for Dings
Dings lost this game in the opening 10 minutes after a very slow start that saw them concede four very soft turnovers and 14 points.
They trailed 29-7 at hal-ftime before dominating possession and play in the second half, but had left themselves too much to do.
Stand off Adam Westall hit a post with a penalty attempt in the first minute then following a catalogue of unforced errors from Dings the home side took control and ran in two very good tries in two minutes.
The first came from prop Dan Frazier after a dozen phases and very slick handling.
The second came from scrum half Graham Barr who darted down the blind side from a 5-metre scrum; stand off Dylan Pugh converted both tries.
On 25 minutes Pugh increased the home side's lead with a penalty closely followed by Dings' first try from impressive full back Orlando Stott.
Westall broke free on half way and drew the full back before feeding Stott for the try, Westall added the conversion.
Rosslyn Park hit back with two tries in the final 10 minutes of the half, first from prop Mike Huggett after a quick tap penalty by Barr, and then from speedy winger Nick Canty, who sprinted into the left corner from the 22. Pugh added one conversion for 29-7 to the home side at halftime.
Dings performed much better in the second half, cutting out the unforced mistakes and retaining possession for long periods. Most of the half was played around the halfway line, but Dings had the lion's share of possession and play.
Pugh landed the home side's only points of the second half with a penalty on 55 minutes. Westall got Ding's second try on 65 minutes with another clean line break, sprinting for the corner from 30 metres out.
Dings were on top for the final 15 minutes and, after refusing several kickable penalties, finally got their third try from lock Dave Bufton after a good lineout catch and drive.
It was a well-deserved win after some very good rugby from the home side, but Dings were perhaps unlucky to come away with nothing after a very good second-half display.
