Imperial claimed their third win out of their last four Somerset One matches when thrashing local rivals Broad Plain 57-14.

The south Bristol side are now six points clear of second-from-bottom Keynsham II with four games left this season.

Tries were scored by brothers Ben (3) and Dean Payne, Matt Edwards, Edmund Osara, Sam Baker, Jim Jones, Gary Kitchen. Dean Payne (4) and Martin Munday (2) hit the conversions.

Robin Tremlett touched down with skipper Ollie Nowell slotting three penalties for Plain.

Leaders St Bernadette's need two wins from their remaining four matches to claim the title after beating Nailsea & Backwell 57-8.

Ollie James crossed for a hat-trick with Dan Harris, Michael Watkins, Christopher Lock (2), James McCormack and Craig Harris also touching down. Chris Holley hit six conversions.

Gordano won 37-0 against Keynsham II thanks to tries from Aaron French (2), Dean Ashfield and Jerry Creber with Tim Coghlan landing four penalties.

In Somerset Premier, Ross Hickery kicked four conversions and three penalties in Bristol Harlequins' 37-7 win against Avon. Jay Wilkins, Scott Manning, Lee Pearn and Aaron Baker touched down.

In Gloucester Premier, second-placed Southmead's title hopes took a knock when they suffered a 16-7 home defeat to Cirencester. Gary Sposito scored a pushover try with Danny Cotterell converting.

Bristol Saracens have now racked up 148 points in their last two matches after winning 55-6 at second-from-bottom Frampton Cotterell.

Tries came from David Wright (2), Ian Werrett, Ross Bergen, Mike Race, Ed Cribbs, Andy Lloyd and Karl Venn. Nick Webster kicked a penalty and six conversions. Mike Ashwin kicked two penalties for Frampton.

Whitehall racked up a 48-6 victory over Hucclecote. Paul Aston, Dane Weaver (2), Fatheur Rahman (2), Mike Ficuciello, Steve Bush, Luke Colton and Jake Lucas touched down. Sam Pearce slotted two conversions.

Joe Swift (2), Dave Moss, Owen Harris, Simon Conrad, Kai Daniel, who also hit a penalty and four conversions, and Archie Watts-Farmer touched down in Old Colstonians' 46-17 victory against Spartans.

In Gloucester One, Bishopston secured their maiden away win of the season when beating Brockworth 13-7 to go five points clear of the drop zone.

Bish were 13-0 up at the break, Jon Martin adding the extras to a penalty try. He also kicked two penalties.

But the match was held up for 15 minutes when visitors' prop Simon Jeffry suffered a suspected dislocated knee cap and was taken to hospital.

Chipping Sodbury claimed back-to-back victories after their 37-10 success at strugglers Ashley Down.

Tries came from Steve George (3), James Febry and Mark Baker. Steve Romanowski landed two penalties and three conversions.

Old Bristolians lost 22-13 at home to Cheltenham Civil Service, Tom Keen and Lyndon Davies touching down with Simon Hawkins landing a penalty.

In Gloucester Two, Kingswood won 15-8 against BAC thanks to tries from Brad Whiston, Ben Lambert and James Wilmott.

Ben Worthington (2), Tom Perrett, Ed Tofts, Wes Rodgers and Ali Parry touched down in Old Elizabethans' 34-7 victory over Westbury. Dom Swann kicked two conversions.

Bristol Saracens Colts were beaten 22-20 by Thornbury. Larry Hunt, Dan Hickey and Jake Bevvington scored the tried for Saracens.

Bristol Colts won 24-0 at Cleve, tries coming from Lee Voisey, Josh Clarke, Lewis Jones and Adam Beavis.
