Dorchester Town 4 Thurrock 3. Dorchester chalked up their third league win in eight days to move up to 13th in the Blue Square South table.

Dorchester fell behind in the second minute when keeper Gareth Stewart could only parry a fierce drive from Danny Hart for Leon McKenzie to tap home.

But from then on the Magpies dominated the first half and visiting keeper Joe Woolley pulled off a string of saves to keep out efforts from Wes Fogden and Jamie Mudge whilst Gary Bolds sent a near-post header over.

Dorchester levelled in the 34th minute when Fogden found the far corner with a low 20-yard shot.

The Magpies took the lead three minutes later when Mark Jermyn's left wing cross was headed in by Mudge.

But Thurrock drew level in first half stoppage time when Mark Wright beat Stewart from 18 yards.

The drama continued in the second half and a delightful ball down the left in the 50th minute by Jermyn enabled Mudge to restore the Magpie's advantage with a tremendous 30-yard drive which flew in off the underside of the bar.

Mudge completed his hat-trick on 70 minutes with a low 20-yard effort which crept between keeper and post.

Although Thurrock pulled a goal back through substitute David Bryant seven minutes from time, Dorchester held on.
