Weston seeking more inspiration from Gilroy

Blue Square South preview:

Weston-super-Mare will be looking for more inspiration from on-loan striker Dave Gilroy in tomorrow's game at Maidenhead United.

Gilroy, left, hit a hat-trick on his first start for the club since joining from Newport in last week's 3-2 home victory over fellow strugglers Lewes.

The win lifted Weston out of the relegation positions and manager Andy Gurney said: "Dave's ability in front of goal provided what has been missing from our play this season and hopefully he will carry on scoring goals."

There is a doubt over central defender Clayton Fortune, who has a hamstring problem which forced him to leave the field just after the hour mark against Lewes.

"It's a frustrating problem at present and we need to get him fully fit to be able to play the whole game," said Gurney

Striker Marc McGregor has left Weston and has joined fellow-strugglers Worcester City who are one place above Weston in 17th place with the same number of points but with a better goal difference.

Weston-super-Mare (away to Maidenhead United) from: Sawyer, Green, Parinello, Harris, Rand, Fortune, Bartlett, Wells, Gilroy, Joyce, Compton, Evans, Grubb, Mullins, Brown, Klein-Davies.
