Man dies falling from Weston sea wall
Phil Rafferty, of Orchard Street, suffered head injuries from the fall and died at the scene near the Royal Pier Hotel, on June 23, at around 3am.
The 56-year-old had been out drinking with friends at the time and they were sat listening to music on a stereo on Birnbeck Road.
Great Western Ambulance service received the 999 call at 2.51am and arrived seven minutes later.
A Great Western Ambulance Service said: "A community first responder who specialises in mountain rescue also attended but unfortunately the man was pronounced dead at the scene."
About 20 firefighters also attended with six engines.
A specialist rescue vehicle and a rope appliance arrived from Temple in Bristol and other appliances came from Weston.
Police have confirmed that the circumstances of Mr Rafferty's death are not suspicious.
A post mortem is being conducted this week and an inquest has been opened and adjourned awaiting results from a toxicologist.
