Bristol teacher misses out on £80k

Roland Herrera who runs Westbury Park Strings in Kellaway Avenue, was beaten 23-21 by world champion Lars Trabolt in a semi-final of the CasinoRip.com Monte Carlo World Backgammon Championships. Mr Herrera's wife, Simonetta, who helps her husband run their violin and cello business and is Bristol Open Champion, had already been beaten by Trabolt.
The couple were the last two UK contestants from the 173 players in the event which has a top prize of about £80,000.
