August 7 and 8, Vivary Park, Taunton
Plans have been unveiled for this year’s show with admission prices kept the same as in 2008.
The Band of the Corps of Royal Engineers will be performing in the main arena on both days and during the Beating of the Retreat on Friday night visitors will be encouraged to make a donation to the Help for Heroes charity.
Organisers say fun and flowers remain at the heart of the horticultural event. Features include the English Garden Roadshow giving visitors the chance to ask experts questions as well as a food hall full of local produce.
The floral marquee will boast exhibitors from across the country while there is a pirates theme in the child’s play section.
Chairman Bob Homeshaw said:
“All in all, it’s a festival of family
entertainment, fun and activities
– a blooming good day out!”
