Matt finish too much for Sports

GFA Junior Cup: Corinthian Sports proved no match for Sneyd Park, who enjoyed a 14-0 home romp against the Surburban League team in the first round of the GFA Cup. Matt Arnold led the scoring spree with a five-goal salvo.

Kartel Blair and Lee Farmer both scored twice for Imperial Saints in the 4-2 home success against St Pancras, for whom Jamie Stewart and Steve Lyne hit back, while Dan Corrick, Liam Miller and Nicky Harding netted for Iron Acton without reply fromHanham Reserves.

Paul Francis and two own goals sealed a 3-2 success for Ashton Rangers away to Hare on the Hill, for whom Jamie Houghton and Matt Duff hit back, while Made For Ever beat Knowle 4-1 thanks to Josh Dempsey, Mike Tucker, Jay Morris and John List.

Sea Mills Park crashed 6-4 at home to strikes by Sam Payne (2), Darren Cole, Dave Bennett, Chris Towill and Barry Lombard for Fishponds OB, while Miners Rangers beat Pucklechurch by the same score, courtesy of Ben Peacock (3), Adam Cutland (2) and an own goal.

Andy Bush netted twice for Bristol Barcelona, 2-1 home victors against Cotswool, whose marksmen was Gary Buchanan, and Portland won 3-2 at Bristol Athletic thanks to Craig Court, Mark Ranace and an own goal. Almondsbury A lost 3-1 away to Filton Athletic, whose scorers were Mike Salmon, Nial O'Loughlin and 16- year-old Nathan Tunbridge on his debut.

Ace marksman Ian Markovitch struck four goals in South Bristol Central Reserves' 5-2 defeat of Bendix. Scott Gribble completed their tally, while Charlie Stevens netted twice for Bendix.

Ryan Earrey's double could not prevent Crosscourt sliding to a 3-2 defeat to goals from Jason Haskins (2) and Mike James for Stoke Gifford Reserves, while Roman Glass St George A beat Winterbourne A 3-2, through John Loveridge, John Adkin and Chris Watson.

Nick Snow marked his return after a long absence with a broken leg by scoring twice for St Aldelms Reserves, 4-1 winners against Little Stoke Reserves. Paul Gardiner struck their other two goals.

Marc Hanson netted a consolation for Avonmouth Reserves, hammered 8-1 by Bristol Barcelona, whose marksmen included Alex Bratu (2), Chris Wilson, Paul Kennedy and Ricky Blackwell.

Substitute Kai Holmes was delighted to notch a double for Lawrence Rovers, who hit his former club Lawrence Weston for six without reply in the Evening Post Star Match.
