Yeovil Town gained another three points in their battle to avoid relegation thanks to Gavin Tomlin's winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

The substitute headed in an Andy Welsh corner at the near post to record a third successive victory for the Glovers.

Russell Slade made two changes from the team that had beaten Huddersfield. Paul Warne replaced the injured Luke Rodgers while Keiran Murtagh dropped out in favour of Jon Worthington, who signed on Friday from the Terriers.

But it was Orient who had the first chance when Nathan Smith ducked under a cross and JJ Melligan was unable to score from an acute angle.

At the other end there was a good interchange between Welsh, Danny Schofield, Paul Warne and Smith to set up Worthington for a low shot that was easily saved.

And on the other flank Craig Alcock robbed Charlie Daniels but shot wide of the near post from 20 yards.

Then from a Welsh free-kick, Aleksander Prijovic volleyed straight at keeper Jamie Jones and Aaron Brown headed narrowly off target from a subsequent set-piece from the left winger.

Orient had the next effort from a free-kick of their own with Daniels' low effort well held by Josh Wagenaar.

But the best chance of the first half-hour came when Welsh swung in a corner and Brown's pointblank header found the arms of Jones from five yards.

And Yeovil's pressure continued when Warne set up Schofield for an angled shot that Jones held onto.

The home side, no doubt reeling from a half-time rocket from their manager, had the first chance of the second period when Ryan Jarvis half-volleyed over.

But the second half was a much more tepid, disjointed affair with Orient more of a threat, although they did relatively little to trouble Wagenaar and Yeovil deserved the points.
