Dominic West reads sexy scenes

Dominic West is to get his fans' pulses racing by reading saucy scenes.

The Wire hunk, whose character Jimmy McNulty has an army of swooning admirers, has been recruited to read seduction scenes from classics such as Lady Chatterley's Lover.

Along with fellow dashing stars Greg Wise and Dan Stevens, Dominic, 39, can be seen reading the scenes to promote Carte Noire coffee.

Other saucy passages for the adult-style Jackanory come from Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice and Nick Hornby's High Fidelity.

Sheffield-born Dominic said: "I wasn't a big fan of Austen before recording these extracts - although my mother and sisters loved her work. But reading them out loud has brought them to life for me and I've been converted. It's truly powerful and passionate stuff."

Carte Noire said the video readings on its website www.cartenoire.co.uk offered "something to set the scene at any time of day".

Dominic said: "For me, coffee and books have always been natural companions."
