Boyzone's 'royal' O2 performance
The Irish band, on the penultimate night of their Better 09 tour of the UK and Ireland, performed at London's 02 Arena with the rock legend in the audience.
Ronan Keating said: "I hope you all liked our little Queen tribute there - we were so nervous because Brian May is in the audience tonight so we hope he liked it."
The boys - Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and Stephen Gately exchanged joked and banter though out the show, including Ronan making a comment they were "bunch of queens" after performing their medley.
Ronan's wife Yvonne was also in the crowd with their children Jack, 10, eight-year-old Marie, known as Missy, and three-year-old Ali.
Shane's wife Sheena was also watching from the audience with their eight-month-old baby Billie Rae.
TV presenter Ben Shephard, who recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with Ronan and a host of other celebrities in aid of Comic Relief had seats near the front to see the show with his wife.
After changing into gold trousers, the boys flew across the crowd on wires onto a stage in the middle of the arena to perform a final few ballads.
Ronan told the audience: "We've just heard a lady in the audience has gone into labour and is having a baby. Congratulation to her, we hope she names it after one of us!"
