Taunton Town's frustrated manager Ian Jones has admitted for the first time that he has thought about leaving the club.

Jones has lost several players since having his playing budget slashed earlier this season, but he said last night: "I must admit I've thought about it – it's very frustrating.

"I've a life outside of football – I've a wife and kids and a business to run. But I don't want to quit – it's a challenge."

Truro City are the latest club to take an interest in centre-back Owen Irish and midfielder Luke Cole, while striker Twayne Plummer has become a target for Bishop Sutton.

Meanwhile, Jones has signed Carl Edwards (Staplegrove) and Nick McCootie Yate Town) in a bid to strengthen his squad.
