Bristol Under-18 Combination

Maciey Modzelewska scored a hat-trick as Roman Glass St George overcame a depleted St George (Easton-in-Gordano) side 7-1.

Ahmed Tawaker, Jason Stockwell, Brandon Matthews and George Woodward were also on target, while Owen Clark struck a consolation goal for the visitors, who were forced to play the entire Division I game a man short.

Cheddar Albion kicked off their league campaign with a comfortable 5-0 away win over Made For Ever Youth. Tom Knight opened the scoring early in the first half and Ryan Bishop added a second from close range before half-time.

Hesham Afifi netted a third immediately after the break for Cheddar before the hard-working Will Manners struck their fourth.

To compound their misery, Made For Ever went down to nine men courtesy of two red cards, and, after Afifi had seen a penalty saved for Albion, Harry Brunsdon wrapped up the scoring with Cheddar's fifth.

In Division A, Cutters Friday continued their winning start to the season with a 3-1 victory over Mangotsfield.

Cutters never looked back after opening the scoring on four minutes with a goal from Dale Jarret. Jack Povey added a second five minutes later and the same player made it 3-0 on 13 minutes with a fine individual effort. Chris Rygol netted for Mangotsfield.

Thornbury Town overturned a two-goal first-half deficit to beat Yate Rangers 4-3 with goals from Will Howard, Josh Low, Dave Monks and Anthony Pengelly.

Max Cooper and Darren Thornbury put Yate 2-0 up in a thrilling contest, which Thornbury's younger and smaller side ultimately deserved to win on the strength of their second-half display.

Debutant Callum Carter scored a hat-trick as Olveston collected their first win of the season with a come-from-behind 5-2 victory at AXA, who were dealt a blow early on when they lost stand-in keeper Will Tozer to a broken nose.

Matt Smith fired Olveston into an early lead, only for their opponents to respond with an equaliser from the penalty spot by James Clayton and a fine individual goal by Lewis Morgan.

At that stage, there looked to be only one winner as AXA took charge, but as they began to tire Olveston managed to get a grip on the game and they roared back to score four times without reply through Carter's hat-trick and Dan Bendall's strike.

Gary Coles and Chris Braywood both netted for Ingleside but they could not halt rampant Hawkesbury in their tracks as they sped to an 8-2 success.

And there was delight for Bishopston United as they began their first-ever Under-18s campaign with a 4-0 win at Yate United courtesy of a second-half Will Jarvis hat-trick and a late strike from Shahebrahimy Vandad.

Debutant Joe Hesketh played in Jarvis for his first goal while goalkeeper John Hardy was in excellent form.
