Two-try Elliot is the star of the show for Barts
BARTON Hill Under-17s battled to a 30-29 victory over Bristol Saracens to claim their first win of the season.
The Speedwell-based club fought hard, with skipper Ben Elliot leading by example, scoring a brace of tries, while his back-row colleague Tom Maddocks caught the eye at No 8. Barts opened the scoring when scrum-half Ben Noble darted over for an unconverted try, before Sarries roared into a 12-5 lead. Barts responded to lead 17-12 at the break, thanks to Elliot's double and a conversion from James Stone. And Barts surged on to clinch the victory with further tries by centre Kieran Bromsgrove and a try and a penalty from Stone.
Cleve Under-16s were too strong for Longlevens in the Gloucestershire Cup, romping to a 40-7 victory. Outstanding centre Tom Cox amassed 25 points, after scoring a hat-trick of tries and five conversions. Jaid Wiltshire, Kieran Webb and Will Bentley also crossed the whitewash for tries.
Keynsham Under-16s were made to work hard for their 10-7 triumph away at Wells thanks to touchdowns by Kit Timmis and Matt King.

Clevedon Under-16s were beaten 19-10 by Winscombe at the Recreation Ground. Winscombe dominated the first half and held a 14-0 lead at the interval, but the Seasiders fought back with second-half tries by Ben Williams and Dan Jones.
St Brendan's Under-14s stormed to a 52-0 victory over Cotham Park at Coombe Dingle. Saints produced a wonderful team display, with tries from centres Ted Phillips and Joe Conway, fly-half Iwan Hughes, wings Sam Box-Dossett and Kieran Chapman and prop Ben Onyeashi. Joey Gomples and Box-Dossett landed six conversions between them.
Sam King and Barney Shiu scored tries during Clifton Under-13s' narrow 10-7 victory over Dursley in their Gloucestershire County pool match at Cribbs Causeway
Old Bristolians Under-13s were involved in a 18-try thriller with Lydney, but eventually lost 43-49.
Dan Smart, Ollie Hill, Thomas Joseland, Joe Osborne, Ned Smith and Harry Dunlop all scored tries for Bs
Old Reds Under-12s held a commanding 35-0, before an injury to Southmead's Devon White halted proceedings.
Broad Plain Under-12s suffered a 21-12 reverse against Avonmouth, despite the best efforts of Joe Matthews, who scored a try and conversion in his man-of-the-match performance. Riley Muthagh also crossed for Plain. Meanwhile, Avonmouth Under-11s cruised to a 38-7 win over Broad Plain, with Flynn Dolan, Lewis Bird and Solomon Taufa all dotting down for tries.
Sam Williams was outstanding during St Mary's Under-11s' 5-0 defeat at Matson.
Kingswood Knights Under-10s went down 15-5 against Old Reds. Ollie Mahoney was the star of the show for the Knights, with Billy Marsden grabbing their try. Southmead Under-9s beat Kingswood 35-5 and managed a 10-10 draw with Old Reds, thanks to tries by Callum Whittaker, Toby Popple, Tom Jones, Sam Williams, Oliver Hole.
