Thursday, September 24, 2009, 07:00

Two garden centres are supporting the World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday by offering their customers free tea and coffee in return for a donation to the charity.

Wyevale Thornbury Garden Centre in Milbury Heath near Thornbury and Keynsham Garden Centre at Hicks Gate in Keynsham are inviting people to join in the coffee morning from 9am to 10.30am.

The manager at Wyevale Thornbury Garden Centre, Tom Yates, said: "We are holding the coffee morning at both garden centres to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

"We hope lots of people come along to the event and help us support this worthy cause."

The World's Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support's flagship event. Last year more than 45,000 people held coffee mornings and together with families, friends and colleagues raised more than £7.5 million for the charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
