I TOOK part in a tandem skydive at Cirencester on Sunday, April 22, having raised £6,000 in six weeks for Meningitis UK to fund research into producing a vaccine to hopefully eradicate meningitis.
Despite very changeable weather I was able to do the skydive and was very relieved to have landed safely, thanks to Nick who I was harnessed to.
I wish to thank everyone who kindly sponsored me, especially the managers of the four Wilkinson stores in Bristol and also the manager of Debenhams who allowed me to carry out tin collections in their stores. Thanks also to Tollgate Hire, Hanham, for waiving the hire charge for a vehicle to get to the airfield.
And grateful thanks to my friend Les Scroggs for helping me with collections and driving me to the venue.
