Taunton Town boss West set to ring the changes after home rout
His struggling side have gone nine matches without a victory and conceded 11 goals in the last three games.
"Some players are simply not good enough," said West.
"When you lack ability you have to put in 20 per cent more effort.
"I'm not getting that from some of the players and I've been making some phone calls to try and bring in players.
"Hopefully, they'll be available for our game at Tiverton on Wednesday."
With goalkeeper Lloyd Irish in fine form, Taunton managed to hold out until just before the interval, when Cirencester skipper Neil Griffiths headed home with no one marking him.
Dave Anthony and Kristan Miller both came to Irish's rescue with goalline clearances before Ros Hoskin scored two more goals for the league leaders – in the 56th and 78th minutes.
Jason Welsh headed a fourth in the 87th minute to pile on the misery for Taunton.
