I'm sorry, green lobby - expanding Bristol International is great for this city
Let's be frank - it's going to be great news for Bristol.
It's going to bring more business, wealth and tourism to the city, while making overseas travel much more convenient for everyone who lives here.
I mean, who would have thought a few years ago that you would be able to fly from Bristol to Hong Kong, or Cape Town, by the middle of next decade?
Yes, there will be a slight carbon emissions growth but there are much more harmful things for the environment than aviation.
And we can't sacrifice the growth of Bristol - the city is on the up, it's coming into its own and having a better airport is only going to help.
In any case, there are plenty of other ways of cutting down on our carbon emissions and Bristol does more than its fair share on the environmental front.
The crucial thing for the success of the airport is to get better transport links.
There's no point in attracting millions more people every year if there's no way for them to get around.
Fortunately, it appears there is plenty of improvement in the pipeline - we just have to hope that the transport authorities crack on with it.
Bristol's becoming a truly wonderful city to live in - you can see its future being pieced together all around us and it's great to be part of it.
