CAN you help make music on Troopers Hill (pictured), a beautiful Local Nature Reserve in St George Bristol?

Any lengths/offcuts of copper piping would be very gratefully received to make "industrial" sound/ musical instruments in a creative arts workshop with the talented Peter Margerum.

This will be a free workshop from 2pm to 4pm on Troopers Hill Field, in St George, on Saturday, October 20, as part of the Stepping Forward celebration.

We will be celebrating having spent just over £30,000 of Big Lottery money on improving access to the beautiful Local Nature Reserve. For lots more information, log on to www.troopers- hill.org.uk/steppingforward).

Part of the conditions of the grant is that we have to have a celebration event. Help would be very much appreciated.

If you would like to come to the event then please note there is NO onsite parking and very limited, local street parking. We encourage people to walk, bike or come by bus.

Also a compliment for the amazingly generous Beese's Riverside Bar and Tea Gardens. This local business has been great at supporting volunteer groups at two Local Nature Reserves, Friends of Troopers Hill and Friends of Eastwood Farm.

They are once again donating part of the ticket sales at their beer festival on Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8, to both groups.

So I am, of course, strongly encouraging you to buy tickets and have a great time while supporting two very worthy causes.
