Wednesday, September 02, 2009, 09:00

The University of Bristol Botanic Garden will be open to the public on Sunday, September 13, to raise money for charity.

The gardens, in Stoke Park Road, Stoke Bishop, will be open from 2pm to 5pm and admission is £4.50 – children get in for free.

It is a contemporary botanic garden, with a network of paths that lead through collections of Mediterranean flora and rare native plants.

There are also European and Chinese herbs, glasshouses, tropical fruit and medicinal plants.

The gardens are open as part of the National Gardens Scheme.
