Shirehampton Reserves run ended by Roman Glass St George A

BRISTOL DISTRICT LEAGUE: Shirehampton Reserves lost their 100 per cent record at the top of the Senior Division after being pegged back to 3-3 by substitute Ian Parker's late equaliser for Roman Glass St George A.

Chris Watson and Matt Sheedy were the other scorers for Saints, in reply to strikes by Dave Alexis, Ashley West and Rich Kerr for the leaders.

Old Sodbury moved up to second thanks to a 1-0 win at AXA Reserves, with Ricky Hemmings the first-half marksman, while Hanham A went down 3-2 to goals from Scott Robson, Lucas Hart and Lee Fisher for Made For Ever.

Wick Reserves also lost 3-2 at home to Coalpit Heath, for whom Ken Malala, Matty Cole and Tim Bisp were on the mark.

A hat-trick from Martin Cole paved the way for Crosscourt's 4-0 victory at Nicholas Wanderers Reserves, with Rob Lucas the other scorer.

Bendix improved their promotion prospects in Division I after coming from behind to snatch a 2-1 home victory against Sea Mills Park.

Stuart Hawker shot the Millers in front, but Charlie Steven lobbed in the equaliser and completed his double with a 30-yard volley.

Evergreen Micky Jeffries netted with a free-kick and a penalty for Rangeworthy in a 3-1 away success against Hambrook. Jake Peters was Rangeworthy's other scorer, while Colin Smythe netted for Hambrook.

Seymour United Reserves missed out on the chance of pulling away at the top of the table when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Longwell Green Sports A.

Mark Chaffey and Matthew Grimes both hit hat-tricks as Brislington Cricketers roared to an 11-0 victory at home to Talbot Knowle Reserves. Jacob Westcott (2) Joe Westcott, Lee Iles and Jack Elston completed the rout.

Bitton A hammered Pucklechurch Sports Reserves 6-0 at home, while Chipping Sodbury Reserves recorded an impressive 4-0 away win at South Bristol Central Reserves.

In Division II, Warmley Saints continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-0 win at AEK Boco Reserves where two goals from Paul Cuttter were enough to give clinch the points.

Eden Grove were the biggest winners of the day, beating Broadwalk 13-0, with Daniel Hunt netting five times. The other scorers were Darryl Tainton (2) Lee Jacobs (2), Ashley Rowe, Bobby Bricker, Rich Brown and Mark Horton.

Stockwood Wanderers had a fine 5-2 away win at Shaftesbury Crusaders Reserves. Ben Freke, Lloyd Winton, Brad Mead, Jordan Mercato and Craig Simmonds scored for Wanderers, while Joe Stevens and Joe Sionda replied for the home side.

Dave Herbert's double and an own goal were not enough for Winterbourne United A, who went down 4-3 at home to Hanham Athletic A.

Division III leaders DRG Stapleton Reserves kept up their good start to the season with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Olveston United Reserves.

An Adam Sykes hat-trick made the difference for Bradley Stoke Town, who came away from Chipping Sodbury A with a 3-2 win.

Mendip United Reserves thumped St Philips MAS Reserves 5-0 thanks to a Chris Attiwell hat-trick and strikes from Brett Hurst and Ryan Peacey.

Oakland secured their first victory of the season, winning 4-2 at bottom-of-the-table Shirehampton A.

John Smith hit a hat-trick as St George Rangers continued their 100 per cent record in Division IV with a thumping 10-1 home win against Talbot Knowle A. He was joined on the scoresheet by Craig Smith (2) Dave Langridge (2), Craig Edmonds (2) Mark Fey (2) and Dan England.

Joint leaders Longwell Green Sports B also continued their unbeaten start with a 6-0 win at JDH Builders.

Southmead Community Sport took the points with a 5-2 home victory over Portville Warriors, while Made For Ever Reserves squeezed home 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller against Fry's Club B.

Henbury A had goals from Dave Shepherd and Drew Jones to thank for their 2-1 victory over Frampton Athletic Reserves, whose goal was scored by Abid Rashid.

Roman Glass St George A and Soundwell Victoria both maintained their 100 per cent records in Division V. Saints thumped Pucklechurch Sports A 6-0 with goals from James Haines (2) Mike Kennedy (2) Jake Sanders and Lee McNeil, while Soundwell pipped Brimsham Green Reserves 4-3.

Steve Ball, Steve Bates and Jason Wilkinson fired Coalpit Heath Reserves to a 3-1 home win over Hambrook Reserves.

Bradley Stoke Town Reserves had a good 6-1 home win against bottom-of-the-table South Bristol Central A.

In Division VI, leaders Patchway North End dropped their first points of the season when they were held to a 2-2 draw away to AEK Boco A. Goals from Bob Ashley and Bruno Page twice gave the league leaders the lead but they were pegged back by strikes from Luke Butt and Nathan Bell.

Real Thornbury and Brazil, who started the day joint second in the table behind Patchway, failed to take advantage of the leaders' slip-up, settling for a point apiece after playing out a 3-3 draw.
