Youth football: Friendly matches: Bradley Stoke United Under-8s cruised to an 11-1 aggregate win over Shire Colts thanks to a barnstorming display in the first game.

They won it 10-1, Lewis Bennett leading the way with five fabulous goals and Thomas Baldwin (2), James Burford (2) and defender Thomas Anthony also on the scoresheet.

The second match ended in a 1-1 draw, George Bond opening the scoring for Stoke Lane and Lewis Mason equalising with a superb finish two minutes from time.

Warmley Rangers Under-8s powered to a 24-2 victory over Ashton as Jack Sirl continued his incredible form with another five goals.

Tom Withers' fourth goal of the first game was also a milestone as it was their 100th goal of what is already a very productive season.

In-form Josh Haynes deservedly got on the scoresheet, while midfielder Lewis Silverthorn went close with two fierce efforts. At the back, Daniel Turner, Joe Naish and Chad D'Cruz thwarted most of what Ashton could throw at them, although they were rewarded with a goal when Billy Elvins was beaten from the penalty spot.

Warmley were more dominant in the second game with Zac Cheetham and Charlie Shail both equalling Sirl's five-goal haul. With the pace of two-goal star man Joseph Vincent and the industry of new boy Jake Lacey, Rangers were always in control.

Mitchell Raymond gave a captain's performance and Daniel Ford and Lacey scored well-deserved late goals.

Alex Trowbridge stood strong in the Warmley goal but was beaten once by a breakaway Ashton goal.

Ashton Boys A secured a fine 5-2 away victory against a well-organised Deerswood team in another Under-8s clash. Goals from Lloyd Wotton, Jack Filer and Jamie Lopresti, after fine work by Louis Snailham, saw them to a 3-1 first-game win, Jacob Reeves slotting in Ashton's consolation.

The second game was just as close but this time Deerswood took a half-time lead lead through a Zac Tucker goal.

Ashton were much improved after the break and two goals from Jude Noon sealed a 2-1 victory for the visitors.

Josh Abrahams capped a brilliant individual display with four goals in five minutes and Harry Bullard grabbed the other as Bitton Under-8s recorded an impressive 5-0 first-game win at St Nicholas.

Bitton also started the second game well, snatching an early lead through Josh Brown.

Max Dinnall burst into the box after good build-up play to double their advantage before a Daniel Brooks corner drifted straight into the net to make it 3-0. Saints grabbed a late consolation goal but went down 8-1 on aggregate.

AEK Boco Tigers Under-8s returned to winning ways with a 4-2 comeback win against a spirited Downend Saints side, despite losing the first game 2-0.

Thomas Snell hit both Downend goals, while Daniel Jordan and Dylan Hayes defended stoutly for Boco.

A spectacular long-range shot from Louis Britton and a great header from Jake Cleverley levelled the scores in game two. And both players scored again to seal Boco's well-deserved overall success.

Avon Athletic Under-7s collected their first win with a fantastic 6-0 victory against a well-organised Almondsbury team.

Avon looked solid in defence with Russell Stone, Joe Holiday and goalkeeper Jack Bidwell all standing firm, and were always dangerous on the offensive.

Two well-taken goals from Devon White, a hat-trick from Robert Morris and a cool finish by Corey-Jack Hoskins clinched victory.

Bitton Under-7s bounced back from recent defeats to beat Coalpit Heath 4-3 on aggregate.

They opened the scoring in the first minute of game one when Dan Fletcher struck from close range.

Charlie Roach finished a flowing move to make it 2-0 and Harrison Neill added a third before Heath fought back to net a consolation goal.

Max Pillinger's non-stop work on the left caught the eye as Bitton held on to their lead.

Bitton extended their overall advantage in game two through Ollie Baxter, only for Heath to fight back strongly to score twice and lead 2-1. But they could not force an equaliser and Bitton held out for a narrow overall victory.

Southmead Community Sport Under-7s were pipped 5-4 by Bristol City JSC after two tremendous matches.

George Fowler (2), Bailee Harrison and Richie Hathway netted the Southmead goals, while goalkeeper Joe Smith made some good saves in the first game to keep City at bay.
