Five-star Bitton keep perfect record
Bitton Under-9s overcame Downend Rangers 5-1 to maintain their 100 per cent Division A record.
Both sides had chances during an even first half of game one but Bitton took the lead when George Neill rounded off a powerful run with a well-struck shot. Downend responded shortly after half-time through Santino Saladino, but Joe Fletcher was in top form in goal for Bitton and Ben Snell netted the winner with a cool finish near the end.
Bitton went ahead after a few early scares in game two through Richard Yorath, a Max Buxton chip made it 2-0 and Tom Matthews slotted home a third.
Bristol City JSC and Stoke Lane shared the honours over two close Division A matches.
A fine individual goal by Max Butcher gave Stoke Lane a 1-0 win in game one but they needed a late Marcus Smith strike to ensure a 2-2 aggregate draw after City had gone 2-0 up in the second fixture.
Warren Forrest rescued Warmley Rangers with a hat-trick in a 4-4 aggregate draw with Ashton Boys A.
Warmley lost the first game 3-1 despite taking the lead through George Wilshire. Both keepers played well, with Warmley's Matt Emery pulling off some fine saves.
It looked all over for Rangers in the second game when Ashton added a fourth to their overall tally, shortly after missing a penalty.
But, after a few team changes ,Jacob Trowbridge set up Forrest for his first goal. Forest struck again from a pass by Louis Lacy before tieing up the overall score with his third goal to earn the man-of-the-match honours.
Highridge United played well in the first of their two matches with St Nicholas A before going down 4-2 overall.
Jordan Pratt struck the only goal of the opening game for Highridge and Jack Greenslade and Jordan Perkins both went close to extending the lead.
Saints' man-of-the-match Kyle Bernhardt put in another strong performance at the back and keeper Joe May produced some fine saves.
For Highridge, Bradley Caton, Simon Kane and Brandon Baxter battled well in midfield, while Liam Whitrow gave a man-of-the-match display in defence.
Sam Emery twice went close to netting for Highridge in a goalless opening period of game two.
Hayden Dullaghen and Declan Hurst, who scored Highridge's consolation goal direct from a corner, were compact in the home midfield, with Jay Baker and Ben Rush running hard down the wings.
Jordan Bateman battled well in defence but he could do little to stop Saints from scoring four goals through Matthew Walters, Matthew Bryant, the industriousJamie Stait and star man Luke Henderson.
Avon Athletic overturned a 3-2 first-game deficit to beat Coalpit Heath 8-3 in their Division A double- header.
Avon broke the deadlock in the first game with a cool finish from star man Reece Martin, but Heath equalised with a well-taken goal.
A Robbie Walden strike saw Avon regain the lead after the break but, despite some high-class saves by keeper Lewis Brodie, the pressure told as Heath scored two late goals to secure a 3-2 advantage.
Avon surged into a three-goal lead in game two through Ned Smith (2) and Olly Muxworthy and both players went on to complete their hat-tricks after the break in a 6-0 win.
Brislington Juniors were made to battle all the way in the first of their two Division B games against Downend Boys before emerging 10-1 aggregate winners.
Two second-half strikes by Jack Goddard sealed a 2-0 win in game one.
The second match ended 8-1, Sam Crumb taking the scoring honours with four goals. Lewis Osmond (2), Aaron Brewer and Max Backwell were also on target before Downend scored a late consolation goal.
Depleted Yate United remain unbeaten in Division B after a great display saw them dispatch Henbury Colts 10-1, thanks largely to a prolific performance by Oakley Smith.
Josh Gibbs led the way with a hat-trick in the first game, with James Robinson netting the other in a 4-1 win. Captain Tom Willis turned in a man-of-the-match display despite playing out of his usual position.
Oakley Smith grabbed all six goals in game two while keeper Matty Robbins was delighted to keep a clean sheet.
Fry Club Juniors left it late to clinch a 6-5 aggregate win with Longwell Green.
Striker Max Bateman helped himself to a hat-trick, taking his goal tally for the season to 10, as Fry's won the first game 5-3. Skipper Kieran Watson and Arthur Parsons were also on target.
Longwell Green's neat passing in game two was rewarded with a goal before the break and they doubled their lead in the second half to level the overall score at 5-5.
Fry's leading scorer Charlie Parsons had the final say as he diverted a cross-shot from the left into the net to reduce the deficit to 2-1 and earn his side a narrow overall win.
Bradley Stoke Youth produced two sparkling performances against AEK Boco in Division B to seal a 5-3 aggregate success.
Leading scorer Will Anstey gave Bradley Stoke the lead in game one only for Boco to equalise before half-time. In a tight second half, Bradley Stoke managed to break the deadlock with a well-taken Jack Derrick to win 2-1.
It was Boco's turn to get off to a flier in the second fixture as they went into the interval 2-0 up. But Bradley Stoke passed the ball better in the second half and good combination play resulted in two well-taken Caolan McIvor goals and another for Daniel Prosser in their 3-2 victory.
A late Karl Bessell penalty secured a dramatic 7-6 aggregate victory for Downend Saints against Winterbourne United in Division C.
The teams fought out a 5-5 first-game thriller in which Jack Brice opened the scoring for Saints with a fine long-range effort, only for Winterbourne to storm back to take a 3-1 lead at half-time.
Close-range finishes from James Moreton and Brice pulled Saints level. But Winterbourne again took the lead with a superb strike before Brice completed his hat-trick with another predatory finish to tie up the scores.
Despite Saints' star man Luke Patel's constant threat on the right, and a battling performance by James Carling, Winterbourne snatched the lead again two minutes from time, only for Saints to equalise with the last kick of the game when Andrew Clark coolly played in Ben Wheaton to finish clinically.
For Winterbourne, Benj Parker bagged a fine hat-trick, while Ryan Sharpe and George Hanham grabbed a goal each. Jordan Meredith put in an excellent defensive performance and was ably assisted by Adam Pearce and Matt Bull. Aaron Prewett played admirably in goal and was powerless to prevent Saints' last gasp equaliser.
Game two was another end-to-end thriller, with Saints unlucky to concede an own goal late in the first half.
Joe Coffin made two good saves to prevent Winterbourne increasing their lead before star man Jamie King set up Joseph Mulrenan for Saints' equaliser and set the stage for Bessell to ram home the decisive penalty.
Dominating displays in defence from Max Wookey and Max Wright ensured no way back for Winterbourne, for whom Thomas Parker pulled off some smart saves.
