Improve or I'll make changes, Britton warns his DRG Stapleton charges
Victory at home to Henbury tomorrow could return DRG to top spot, but Britton said: "There has to be a big improvement from certain players because last week's performance was not good enough. We have some decent lads here desperate for opportunities, which they'll get if people don't pull their weight."
Rockleaze Avonside boss Carmelo Micciche is delighted to have ace striker Troy Simpson back for tomorrow's match at Kingswood.
The pacy former Bristol Manor Farm striker has been sidelined for several weeks with a leg injury but is now set to return alongside younger brother Kye Simpson.
"Having Troy back is a big bonus," said Micciche.
"We've drawn our last three games so hopefully the goals will start flowing again."
Manager Steve Winter insists he will not rest on his laurels as his AXA team strive to maintain their climb up the table with three points at home to Thornbury Town.
"I'm still looking to bring in a couple more players but, as it stands, I have a strong squad of 18 players all challenging hard for places, and it's giving me a selection headache," said Winter, whose team have won four of their last five games. Thornbury's promising 18-year-old full-back Dan Wood is poised for a start after overcoming a leg injury.
Manager Dave Lippiatt said: "We're looking forward to a tough derby match against a side in form."
Improving Hanham Athletic, who welcome back new signing Chris Barley, Craig Sperring and skipper Richard Bray, will go level on points with third-placed King's Stanley if they overcome the Gloucestershire side at home.
