Bristol Sunday League round-up:

There seems to be no stopping runaway leaders Avon Plate, who have moved four points clear of their nearest rivals in Division I of the Bristol and District League.

Tyler Gayle weighed in with a hat-trick as the front-runners thrashed Golden Hill 8-2 to extend their 100 per cent start to the season to seven games.

Koran Gayle (2), Pat Winch, Ned Keal and Andy Makepeace also got in on the act as Avon ran riot, in the process improving their goal difference to plus-26.

Lebeq Tavern Courage remain the only viable challengers after hitting six without reply at Wizard Wanderers, while PJ Services lost ground after being held to a 3-3 draw by Fishponds. Ali Kendricks, Paul Johnson and Tom Hamlet were on the mrk for Services.

Lebeq Tavern Courage took full advantage of Hanham Sunday's inactivity to pull clear at the top of the Premier Division, courtesy of a 4-0 win at Shireway Sports.

But the biggest talking point in the top flight was provided by Paul Coles, who netted all the goals in Easton Cowboys' 5-1 trouncing of Katsura.

Steve Alexander helped himself to a hat-trick and Chris Taylor contributed a double as AFC Redland outgunned White Tree 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller.

Karl Rees, Mark Power and Neil Simmons were on target for Beaufort, who remain third in the table following a hard-earned 3-1 success at Harvesters, for whom John Rogers replied.

Bristol 5 Seniors fired a seven-goal warning as they kept up their pursuit of Division II leaders Mendip SBW.

Chris and Dale Attiwell, Tim Hughes and Ben Thatcher carved out a 4-2 victory for front-runners Mendip, but Bristol 5 served notice that they are not prepared to give up the chase, Kevin Roper (3), James Pellowe (2), John Cush and Phil Butterworth netting in a 7-0 romp at Marcliff.

Dan Oakley scored the only goal as BAWA Sports beat Lockstock United, while Sarafan Sports beat Merryweather OB 3-0 thanks to Shaun Morris (2) and Lee James.

Rob Sage hit a hat-trick and Dan Griffiths netted twice as Shire Sunday extended their 100 per cent start to the Division III campaign to five games by thrashing Cathedral City 8-1.

Avon Plate Reserves chalked up their first win of the season, a notable 4-2 success at third-placed Portcullis. Paul Jones scored twice for the home team, only for Avon to steal the show thanks to strikes from Dwelly Ellis (2), Chris Thomas and an own goal.
