Gloucester ace to join Hull's Bristol Rugby revolution
Hull has already re-signed seven members of Bristol Rugby's squad since taking over from Richard Hill as head coach – and is now eyeing a series of new arrivals.
The first is likely to be 22-year-old outside centre Adams, who is understood to be on the verge of signing a three-year deal at the Memorial Stadium.
Adams was spotted at Bristol's Clifton RFC training ground with his agent, Mike Burton, earlier this week and is thought to have had productive talks with Hull over a move.
If Bristol's new boss can persuade Adams to sign up to his bold vision for the club, he will have seen off Guinness Premiership side Northampton to do so.
Adams is also wanted by National League One club Moseley – where he has been on loan this season – while Gloucester Rugby are understood to be keen to keep their Academy product for a further year.
Adams burst onto the scene along with Anthony Allen, Olly Morgan and former school-mate Ryan Lamb during the 2006-07 season, making 15 appearances and scoring four tries as Gloucester topped the Premiership.
A strong-running, direct outside centre, Adams has appeared 26 times in total for Gloucester and has won many admirers in the Shed for his honest performances.
The hard-working midfielder has found his route to the Gloucester first team blocked by Mike Tindall and Matthew Watkins, while James Simpson-Daniel has also been deployed at outside centre.
Dean Ryan has also handed teenager Henry Trinder the No 13 shirt on three occasions this season, with Adams – who has made only three first-team appearances this term – seemingly falling further down the Kingsholm pecking order.
Gloucester-born Adams has represented England Sevens, as well as captaining Gloucester at the Middlesex Sevens.
