Two-goal Lloyd sparks fightback by Saints OB

Downs League: Saints OB staged a super comeback to beat Ashley in Division I after falling behind to a Brett Eamer goal.

Nick Lloyd scored twice and John Mann and Chris George were also on target as Saints won 4-3 – their first victory of the season.

Leaders Sneyd Park continued their good form with a 7-1 thumping of AFC Bohemia.

Rich Sargent (2) netted twice and was joined on the scoresheet by Matt Tribe, Joe Sharples, Ron Davey, Liam Bailey and Gareth Browning.

Lawes Juniors defeated second-placed Bristol Barcelona 2-0 thanks to goals from Dave Corlett and John Moore.

Dave Southwood, Matt Hazzard and Tom Wilkinson were on target for Cabot AF, 3-0 winners against Jamaica Bell, while Torpedo came from behind to beat Sporting Greyhound 2-1 thanks to Erik Labi and Nicolaas Van Desijic.

Cotswool beat Portland OB 2-0 with goals from Gareth Thomas and Andre Gluzina.

In Division II, Jason Ford netted twice for leaders Retainers, who crushed Easton Cowboys 7-1.

Goals from Luke Armstrong (2), Danny Burke and Nick Woodworth earned Cotswool Reserves a 4-0 win against Hare on the Hill.

Sneyd Park Reserves saw off Bristol Barcelona Reserves 4-1 thanks to Nick Hards' hat-trick and a Ben Bishop strike.

Mark Cornwall scored Lion's consolation goal in a 3-1 defeat against Clifton Rockets.

In Division III, a Nick Long goal for Portland OB Reserves was cancelled out when Justin Anderson levelled for DDAS.

Paul Chesman netted for Sneyd Park A in a 4-1 defeat by Clifton Rockets Reserves, whose scorers were Matt Green, Steve Key, Matt Cox and Danny Edwards.

A Late equaliser by Isaac Elliott earned Cotham OB a 1-1 Division IV draw against NCSF United, who had taken the lead through Tom Farrell.

Sneyd Park B edged out Clifton St Vincents B 3-2 thanks to goals from Alex Clifford, Ryan Emmons and Nick Whitehead the marksmen for Sneyd.

Ross Williams and Elliott Tovey both hit doubles as Wellington Wanderers beat West Town United 5-2.
