Trought treble for Cotswool helps sink AFC Bohemia

BRISTOL DOWNS LEAGUE: Ed Troughton was in deadly goalscoring form as Cotswool continued their good start to the season in Division I with a 5-1 victory over AFC Bohemia.

Troughton hit a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Karl Upshon and Nima Khajavi.

The victory, Cotswool's fourth in seven games, moved them to within three points of leaders Sneyd Park and Bristol Barcelona, who hammered Cabot AF 7-0 with Andy Haywood, Dan Cannon, Andy Bush among the scorers

Ashley led Clifton St Vincents 2-0 through a Kevin Ashley double only for Vincents to storm back to draw 2-2 thanks to a Rich Collins strike and a disputed penalty converted by Max Davies.

Sporting Greyhound thumped Jamaica Bell 7-1. New signing Simon McDonald was on target for Bell but Steven Paul cracked a hat-trick to lead Sporting to victory.

Dan Jones' hat-trick and a double by Erik Labi saw Torpedo defeat Easton Cowboys 5-1. Dave Owen replied for Cowboys.

Retainers lead Division II by two points after slamming Clifton Rockets 9-1. Tom Curtis was on the mark for Rockets, while Stuart Watson, Kevin Quinn and James Ford all scored twice for Retainers.

Second-placed Sneyd Park Reserves remained two points behind the leaders after a James Davey strike proved enough to beat Hare on the Hill 1-0.

John Baikuer (2), Matt Smith, Edison Rizzo, Felix Lawrence and John Stevens fired Torpedo Reserves to a 6-0 victory over Easton Cowboys Reserves.

Ryan Emmons scored twice for Sneyd Park B, who beat Cotham Old Boys 5-2 in Division IV. Nicholas Bonney, Danny Hicks and Nick Stockley were also on target for Sneyd, with 16-year-old Isaac Elliot and Chris Price netting for Cotham.

Tebby AF Reserves beat Wellington Wanderers 3-1 with goals from Olly Nash (2) and Joe Keegan.
