Avon Youth League: Myles Wiffell-Bye cracked a hat-trick as Rockleaze Rangers Under-14s consolidated their position in the upper reaches of Division II with a 4-1 victory at Shire Colts.

Rangers squandered a number of early chances and paid the price when the home side broke away to take the lead on 15 minutes. They were soon on level terms, however, when Wiffell-Bye saw a close-range shot parried by the keeper and the alert Tiff Andrews gratefully swept home.

With midfield dynamo Ollie Haynes pulling the strings, Rockleaze struck twice more through leading scorer Wiffell-Bye, who first latched on to a fine through ball and finished clinically, then swivelled inside the box to fire in his side's third just before half-time.

The second half was a more even affair with Shire hitting the crossbar. The visitors also struck the bar with a clever lob by Joe Hill before he provided a great diagonal ball for Wiffell-Bye to complete his hat-trick.

Keynsham Town A's defence laid the foundations for an emphatic 4-1 home success against Avon Athletic in Under-12 Division 1.

Keeper Rory Coles, Jack Dancey, Charlie Brain, Luke Wilson, captain Ollie Richards and star performer Jamie Gregory ensured Avon had few clear-cut chances in a frantic first half, in which two Sam Jarman goals gave Keynsham a 2-0 lead.

Avon pulled one back early in the second half but a Callum Fry strike, after good approach play by Mike Ollis and Harry Neil, made it 3-1. The fourth goal came late on, Sam Black volleying home during a goalmouth scramble following a Kieran Thomas corner.

In Under-12 Division II, improving Bromley Heath United swept to a 2-0 victory over AEK Boco, who started the game 11 points in front of them.

With the wind in their favour, Boco dominated the first half but were unable to break down a well-drilled Bromley defence and midfield.

Bromley took the lead from a slick left-sided counter-attack, Greg Ward cutting into the box and firing a low shot into the bottom right corner.

Bromley began to impose themselves more in the second half and chances started to come. Matt Weymouth and Dion Buckley-Miles both went close, but it was the in-form Ward who put to bed the result after Connor Cairaschi won the ball in central defence and skipped around two Boco players before slotting a perfect ball through for Ward to score. Bromley almost struck again but the Boco keeper pulled off a superb save to deny Weymouth.

FDS Bristol, who are still adjusting to life in Division II, secured a much-needed 5-2 victory over Cadbury Heath Youth B.

Wesley Davies and Bradley Wilson gave Heath a 2-0 half-time lead but FDS turned up the heat in the second half with strikes by Nathan Hall, Jack Sharkey, Lewis Sutcliffe and a double from George Ufumwen to complete an impressive win.

Winterbourne United returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Cadbury Heath A in Division III. Josh Yates and Ryan Evans scored two goals apiece – all in the first half.

Winterbourne withstood some pressure in the second half from a battling Cadbury Heath team ,but strong defensive displays by Connor Jewell, Matthew Wragby, Ryan Burman, Will Stabb and keeper Tom Woodland-Scott shut them out.

Bristol Rovers SCJ and AEK Boco A drew 0-0 in an entertaining Under-15 Division I clash.

The best chance of the first half fell to Rovers winger Billy Bond, who fired straight into the keeper's hands after breaking clear.

With the wind behind them, Rovers started the second half brightly and had several-half chances to break the deadlock. With 20 minutes left, a Bond cross found Jordan Headley but he poked the ball just wide from five yards.
