Great store and always moving forward!

another cheap shop

“discount home centre is located on the high street and has such a large amount of stock packed into such a small shop and even more available via their website which if you do not have access to the internet you can use their display laptop to order stock for collection later. cracking service.”

not bad shop

“discount home centre has improved so much since being taken over and changing the name from jasons trading post they are also trying to compete with another cheap shop by selling a number of lines for 89p. what really makes them diffrent is that you can order online.”

another bargin shop

“thornburys cheapest shop in the area. gone with the days of the pound shops, and even 99p stores! the discount home centre used to be called jasons trading post now sells many items at 89p! the discount home centre stocks just about every thing and whats better is that if they do not have it they will try everything to get it!!”

small shop but they stock so much stock!

“the discount home centre looks really small on the outside but when you walk through the front door you are firstly greeted by a lady sat behind the counter then the shop some how turns into an aladins cave with just so much stock jumping out at you. the prices are also very good and they sell many items at 89p.”

who needs a 99p store

“who needs a 99p store when you have the Discount Home Centre. its a massive improvement on the former jasons however i think it will always be referred to as Jasons. the staff seem helpful and i guess you get everything that you would need from a discount store including many items at 89p. the good thing about the discount store is that they sell a lot of items cheap but its actuallt good quality products. onlt bad point is a charge for all card transactions under £5.00!”

The BEST shop in Thornbury!!! - DiscountHomeCentre.co.uk

“I think simply its the best shop in Thornbury!!! They are so helpful and polite. The lady on the counter is so bubbly and without fail says Hello!!! The stocks so well kept together and I can't believe how much they get into such a small space!!! The shop is cheaper than pretty much anywhere I know, Thornbury or elsewhere, so I always try here first and most of the time they have it in stock. I recently went in looking for a Garden Trellis, they never had it BUT they have a website as well. I ordered from their website and they got it in for me the next day!!! I can't believe how the staff seem to know where every little thing is kept and even give me a price without looking. The outdoor display is also great and amazing how they get it in and out everyday, rain or shine!!! They seem to be doing the 99p items that you find in Cotswold News (Now 99p Store) for 89p.

On a Negative side, The Biggest downside is the size and the shop could do with a bit of updating as its looking a bit worn out so can look a bit unprofessional, its small, dark and can get cramped especially when they get very busy (I waited in a Que for 15 mins - though suppose this shows how popular the shop is), the staff can be a little to helpful sometimes, The displaying of items could be better to make it easier for the customer to find.

Overall this store is massive credit to Thornbury and I love shopping here. Nice to see independent store making a good go of things. The guys that run it are doing a much much better than when it was Jason's Trading Post!!!

P.S - ON A FUNNY NOTE: I think its owned/ran by the young Indian/SIkh gentleman, he has a brother who looks exactly like him!!! I confuse them for each other all the time, its quite funny when I have asked one brother something a couple of days earlier and then ask the other brother for the answer the following day and he doesn't know what I'm going on about!!! Makes me laugh!!!”

another bargin store

“discount home centre formerly jasons trading post seems to be competing with the 99p store by promoting many items as being 89p. they offer a good range of stock as well as a very large out side display. the staff always seem nice and polite. they have new lines in all the time and you can even pre order on their new website.”

perfect

“Trading post is perfect for back to school goodies as well as much much more. from the outside the shop looks really small but they fit alot in!! the lady sat behind the counter always says hello as you walk in however the min card patyment is £5.00. ”
