“it is really nice to see local pharmacy shops in the area, normally in a small market town you find 1 or 2 if your very lucky, thornbury has plenty but i still prefer the pharmacy in alveston, they are so kind and considerate every time i go in. my mum also uses them as she finds they are so keen to help and really do go that extra mile.”

“at long last! alveston have their very on pharmacy! for such a long time residents in and around alveston have had to travel to thornbury to visit a pharmacy. but recently alveston got their very own. the staff are fantastic and are discreet with providing information. they offer all the usual services that you would expect from a pharmacy.”

“Alveston Pharmacy is small compared with the chain pharmacies and is privately owned, which is increasingly rare. They carry a reasonable stock of essentials - the sort you suddenly run out of when you don't want to go all the way down to town - though obviously cannot compete with Boots on range. The pharmacist and staff are very friendly and helpful, and have several times sorted out queries on my prescriptions. If you pick up your prescription at Boots or Lloyds you have to queue with shoppers for talc and hairspray as they only use one small counter - in Alveston the footfall is less so you get much better attention and privacy. They collect and deliver from all the Thornbury doctors which saves a lot of running about. Easy parking outside! Please use them!”
