First Division

Grandslammers 17 LSDs 19

Top of the table LSDs maintained their winning ways in a close game against the Grandslammers.

In a tightly fought battle neither team established any dominance and it took until the 5th and 6th innings for LSDs to gain the lead which they were able to hold despite a fierce fightback by Grandslammers in the 7th innings.

Real Flyers 4 Guppy Spotters 9

Pitchers Gareth Preece (Guppyspotters) and David Cotton (Real Flyers) reigned supreme restricting the game to only 13 runs.

Guppyspotter's errors cost them runs and at the midpoint they were rattled, needing two team meetings to regain focus.

Real Flyers' batting reputation was confirmed but too often failed to bring runners home. Neither side established control and after the fifth innings scores were tied.

Going into the sixth, Guppyspotters broke through the Real Flyers defence taking a four-run lead into the seventh innings.

With all to play for, Real Flyers were shut down in the seventh and Guppyspotters snatched a 9-4 win.

Bucks Whiz 6 Bristol Creamers 23

In the bottom of the table clash Bristol Creamers came out the winners for the first time this season.

Creamers had been struggling to get a team together for this fixture and were saved from having to forfeit at the 11th hour by Jane Mills who made herself available despite still recovering from a recent operation.

Creamers kept the scoreboard ticking over throughout the game and an improved performance in the field enabled them to restrict Bucks Whiz.

Tbolts v The Forks (game abandoned)

There was high drama on the pitch with T-Bolts versus Forks when a nasty collision called an end to the match after just three innings.

T-Bolt's Dan Regan collided with Chris Fox, playing shortstop for Forks, in a battle at second base. Fox suffered a split eyebrow and concussion and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

After a close first innings, Forks had stormed ahead in the second and third when the collision occurred - just as T-Bolts were making a strong comeback.

Forks Captain Saghi Zarbafi said: "Chris thankfully is OK now. Everyone pulled together to help Chris in anyway possible and after an overnight stay in hospital he has been given the all clear.

"He has a corker of a black eye but no permanent damage." The match will be replayed later in the season.

Second Division

The Force 12 Desperadoes 27

Desperadoes continued their fine recent form with a good team performance against The Force who have been showing improvement over the last month with two good wins behind them.

Despite a slow start in the first innings Desperadoes scored well in the second and once they had established the upper hand they never let it go.

Flintstones 14 Chipmonks 13

The game never really got going until the fourth innings with both teams struggling to perform with the bat early on. The game seesawed back and forth with Flintstones establishing their winning lead in the sixth innings which, despite a strong fightback in the seventh innings, Chipmonks were unable to recover from.

Friendly Fire 3 Sloggers 17

Sloggers demonstrated why they are in the top half of the table and took revenge over a Friendly Fire team for the defeat inflicted on them early in the season with a strong batting and fielding display.

Imperial Sliders 3 Orange Crushers 9

In a game described by umpire Adam Kutas as a fine defensive display by both teams Orange performed better with the bats to inflict the first defeat of the season on league leaders Sliders.

Third Divison

Go Balls Deep 0 Multiple Scorgasms 30

A difficult game for Go Balls Deep with Multiple Scorgasms returning to form after their defeat last week.

Spartans 20 ThunderBats 3

Spartans completed a convincing victory against new comers ThunderBats. ThunderBats kept the scoreboard ticking over each innings but were unable to prevent Spartans from three high-scoring innings.

Greasey Mitts 16 Flatpackers 28
