What's your top view of south Bristol?
A PLEA has gone out for favourite views of south Bristol that can be included in a new hospital for the city.
Ahead of the opening of South Bristol NHS Community Hospital in April people are being invited to suggest the beauty spots or places they would like to see featured in pieces of art at the Hengrove Park site.
Artists Simon Grennan and Christopher Sperandio are keen to hear from anyone who can point out a personally favourite view in the south of the city, or those who can recall a past view that has now gone. The views will inspire a series of custom-designed drawings of south Bristol to be installed in the hospital.
The pair will also be out and about in the city over the next three months to find out more about their favourite south Bristol views as part of a project commissioned by Bristol Infracare Lift, who have been responsible for the design and construction of the new hospital.

The artists have previously worked on comic books, a series of large inflatables sited around Edinburgh, the US reality TV documentary series, Artstar, and Colchester Round, where four very different musical groups played each other's music.
Mr Grennan said: "Bristol is rightly known for its iconic views, such as the bridge, its churches and ships. We're after some of the more personal views that people have in south Bristol: maybe the spot where someone had their first kiss or the view from the top of someone's street that they've seen every day for years. Perhaps a favourite view is a view of something that is no longer there, but that is recalled with fondness."
Mark Nebel, of Bristol Infracare Lift, said: "It is very exciting to be working with such great artists on this project and I am sure they will produce some interesting work with the help of local people. I think it's a fantastic idea to capture and record images of well loved places around south Bristol in this way and to display them inside this important new facility for the community."
The artists have set up a website to gather favourite views. For more information or to add a suggestion visit www.southbristolfavouriteviews.com or call 01978 780540.
