Dancer, choreographer and film-maker Lisa May Thomas organised an event in Bristol to look at ways of raising the profile of dance in the city.

The free Open Space event at Circomedia in Portland Square was made possible through the Dance Associate Scheme, which was set up to encourage a city-wide vision for dance.

Ms Thomas said: "I love dancing, I always have. It's a big part of my life and I'd encourage anyone to dance."

She said the event's aim was to help find ways to raise the profile of dance in Bristol.
