It's showtime in Pilning for 40th year
Pilning Flower Show co-ordinator Elaine Hodge is buffing up the trophies for the popular event as it reaches a landmark anniversary.
The show has been running for 40 years and is as well supported now as it has ever been.

Mrs Hodge, 82, has been involved in running the show for 20 years, and before then was a regular exhibitor.
She still puts in flower arrangements and vegetables for judging, but has plenty of other tasks on the day.
Mrs Hodge, who lives in the village, said: "I'm shattered by the end but it's such a lovely day to enjoy and we also raise money for charity.
"The show is very popular. It's often a job to get all the entries inside.
"When it was first held, it was put on at Pilning Village Hall on the late summer bank holiday Saturday.
"This was because that was the day the cricket club used to travel away for matches so the hall and playing field were vacant.
"We have never altered the date, but the show is now in Trinity Hall instead, with one room for all the things that have been grown and made, which are later auctioned for charity.
"The other room has the flower arrangements and children's classes."
The auction will be conducted by Radio Bristol presenter Trevor Fry.
Proceeds to the Severn Area Rescue Association which will have a rescue boat and Land Rover on display.
The show takes place on Saturday, August 29, and opens at 2.15pm.
