JOLLY Boys defeated fellow Regional Sunday League Division IV side AC Bristol in the final of the 3 Lions Cup.

The first chance fell to AC Bristol, but Harry Cheesright saw his header well saved by goalkeeper Jedd Hunt.

Josh Charles squandered two good chances for Jolly Boys, who suffered a blow when Stuart Rogers was forced to leave the field through injury in the 22nd minute and was replaced byGary Amos.

But they continued to make the running and took a deserved lead on 37 minutes when Jack Richardson played the ball down the line for Amos, who crossed for Sam Elwell to score with a well-struck volley.

AC Bristol kept battling and managed a last-minute consolation goal from Anderson-Dixon.
