What's going on in Keynsham?
A special day of events takes place in Keynsham later this month to promote leisure and shopping in the town.
On Saturday May 16 there will be a variety of stalls, street performers, art workshops and singing and dance groups in the High Street.
Visitors will also be able to collect a free Fairtrade shopping bag from Keynsham Library.
Inside there will be lots of leaflets giving information about local sports and leisure clubs and businesses.
It is part of the Keep it Local: Keep it Keynsham campaign.
Councillor Terry Gazzard (Con, Abbey), cabinet member for economic development said: "Bath and North East Somerset Council is pleased the Keep It Local: Keep in Keynsham has been received so well by residents.
"The purpose of this event is to highlight the wealth of facilities, business and organisations the area has to offer."
It will be the first public event attended by the new chairman of Bath and North East Somerset Council, Councillor Bryan Chalker.
He said: "It is important to support local groups and organisations in the area to show the variety of things that are available, whether it's volunteering with Girl Guides or helping manage the woodlands, Keynsham has lots to offer local people."
The groups that will have stalls in the High Street include Keynsham and North East Somerset Twinning Association, Bristol Army Cadet Force, Keynsham & Saltford Gardeners Association, Saltford Floral Club and Keynsham Girl Guides.
Keynsham Arts Development, Keynsham Fairtrade group, Keynsham Rotary Club, The Lions Club of Keynsham and Keynsham In Bloom organisers will also have stands.
People will also have the opportunity to comment on the updated Keynsham Town Plan, first produced in 2004.
