Tonight's GOTD came courtesy of the championship match between the ruby Murrays and FC copinbadly. The game started with both keepers showing soft hands after pushing the ball into the goals from shots from distance, in all fairness to the ruby Murrays keeper his was the harder save to make, however these two lapses of concentration started the game off at 1-1. The ruby Murrays did take the lead, a poor throw by the goal keeper lead to a 1 on 1 for the Murrays, in which the player scored with no effort. The team then pulled away again, this time a great strike from distance beat the keeper with ease, before his team mate done the exact same, hitting another great effort passed the diving keeper.

Just before half time the side really hit top form, when a good passing move resulted in a simple tap in for the player, before his team mate showed a real bit of class, going round the last defender before chipping the ball over the keeper. the copenbadly side did pull one back though, when there lad got caught in a tangle with the last Murrays player, only for the ball to bounce off him and go into the goal, the ref awarded it as an own goal to further embarrass the last man back for his side, half time score 6-2.

The second half started much as the first half did, with both sides scoring identical goals almost back to back of each other. The first one came from the ruby Murrays, when the player smashed the ball into the corner of the goal from a very difficult angle. The copenbadly side did respond to this though, as their effort managed to almost mimic the Murrays, had it gone into the other corner. the copenbadly side then grabbed another goal, this time a fierce effort sailing in after it hit the inside of the woodwork from a fair distance, however the ruby's weren't going to let them have any chance of a comeback, as they scored two goals with no response. The first one coming after some great play down the left was squared to a free man who tapped in from just outside the box; the second was thanks to the same man who provided the first, after he smashed the ball square across the goal, only for the player to redirect the ball back into goal.

The copenbadly side did respond again, with another good shot from distance beating the Murrays keeper at the far post, however it would be the Murrays who would have the last laugh, after the copenbadly keeper came out of his box to save the ball, only for the ref to award a penalty to the side, in which the player stepped up, and Cooley smashed the ball into the top corner of the goal, thus finishing the game and settling the full time score at 11-6. Special shout out rewarded to referee Chris Gardener, who had luck on his side that night scoring 3 very good goals.
