How Bristol Rovers fans saw the win over Oldham

Bristol Rovers fans' views:

It was a game we made hard work of, but the lads kept going until the end.

It was a bit scrappy but we fully deserved to win. It is our best start for a few seasons, so things are going well at the moment.

Kerry-Anne Smith, Hanham

IT was a scrappy game and we made hard work of it.

The pleasing thing is that we kept going until the final whistle and I don't think that would have been the case in previous seasons.

We are progressing really well but I don't want to get too excited after only six weeks of the season.

Andy Williams was fantastic when he came off the bench and the new goalkeeper looks a really good signing.

Sharon Pike, Longwell Green

IT wasn't a great game but the sign of a good side is one that can win scrappy matches in the dying minutes.

Fair play to Andy Williams, because he made all the difference when he came on to set up the goal. We can't grumble about how things are going at the moment.

Kevin Parsons, Coalpit Heath

WE didn't play great football but it is the sign of a good team when you win games after a scrappy performance.

I think last year we would have probably drawn or lost that sort of game but the boys kept going, so onwards and upwards.

Ian MacLeod, Emersons Green

IT was a great day for us because our whole family was here.

My daughter has been a Gashead for as long as I can remember and she was over from New Zealand to see her first game for a very long time, so it was great for her to see us win.

I think (David) Pipe made a difference when he came on, and it was such a relief to see the goal go in right at the end after dominating most of the match with little reward to show for it.

Steve Wood, Midsomer Norton
