All-rounder Liam Lester takes two bats home from awards night
Sporting all-rounder Liam Lester made history by receiving two Evening Post bats after being voted man-of-the-match for Nailsea in both the Bristol Youth League's Under-13 knockout cup final and championship play-off.
He smashed an unbeaten 73 off 45 balls and then took 2-7 from four overs in the cup final, and followed up that outstanding performance with 33 not out (including 6 fours) and 1-16 from four overs in the league final.

Generously, though, Liam has agreed to donate one of his Evening Post bats to Nailsea, where it will be auctioned off to raise money for club funds.
The Nailsea school pupil and Somerset Under-13 representative is a top-order batsman and fast bowler.
But the Bristol City supporter is also an outstanding footballer, captaining the Bristol Rovers centre of excellence from centre-back.
And for good measure Liam also won a place in his school rugby team and found time to win the Under-13 South West Schools' 1,500 metres title at Millfield.
He would love nothing more than to become a professional sportsman. "Whether it's football or cricket, I really don't know," he said.
"I love the competition in football and bonding with your mates. And I try to lead by example by working hard.
"When I'm playing cricket, like everyone else, I like taking wickets and scoring runs, whatever is good for the team."
And how did a City supporter end up captaining Rovers? "They came knocking on the door first," he smiled.
The youngest bat winners of the night were Rishi Panchal and Ben Slade.
Panchal, of Stoke Bishop, scored an unbeaten 25 before retiring in the Under-11 cup final and then taking 2-18.
And Slade retired unbeaten on 26 in the league final and took 1-10 in his four-over spell.
