The worst meal of my life.

I have been to posh spice many times over the years as itrs the only one in nailsea but after my most recent experience i’ll NEVER go again. We were a large group for a friends birthday and had to repeatedly ask for menus, waited over 1 hour for drinks, when my partners plate came it had dried food on it and when i asked for it to be changed they wiped it off with a cloth in front of us and gave it straight back!! Finally after 2 hours of waitin the food arrived but unfortunately most of it was cold (its often not hot in previous experiences) and my nan bread was missing, the 1st waiter said it was coming in a few mins but then the 2nd waiter claimed i never ordered it although i had double checked when we ordered. After another 5 mins my nan arrived unfortunately the bottom was very burnt. We asked to speak to the manager explaining that we appreciate they were busy but it wasnt a great meal, he said he would take money off the bill, we asked for the bill 3 times before it eventually came but without any money taken off. I went over and polietly spoke to the manager who suddenly started shouting aggressively at me accussing me of complaining for no reason and that its normal for the food not to be hot!! (Although we saw at least 2 other tables complain and all tables around us were asking us about the food as they had also waited about 2 hours!) As he was so rude and aggressive i literally had to fight back the tears and just calmly said just give me the bill back and i will never come here again. (It was given back to me with £30 total off for the whole group). I literally can not believe the way i was spoken(shouted) at and i will never step back in that place again.

    Great tasting Indian food

“Posh Spice in Nailsea High Street can always be relied upon to serve up great tasting Indian food. Their menu is reasonably priced and packed with all the classic dishes that youd expect. The service is always friendly and the waiters love to get to know you and to chat. ”

A table for 10 was booked for banquet night at Posh..

“A table for 10 was booked for banquet night at Posh Spice by the Traditional Street Fair Christmas Committee as an end-of-event celebration.
Serving contemporary Indian cuisine the committee chose Banquet Night for their post-festive feast which is on Wednesday evenings and offers a starter, main course, side dish plus rice or a nan for a set price of £10.95.
The group arrived at 7pm when it was fairly quiet but by the time they left at around 9pm the place was buzzing.
Everyone ordered separately although some people needed help.
    Here is what they said.
Fi Mac said: Sitting so close together is so bonding but it was a lovely evening.
Suzanne Webbs said: Wow! My mouth is buring, my tummy is large and full and it was fab company.
Shirley Matthews asked renowned caterer Gilly Chu for help with ordering.
Shirley said: I really enjoyed my meal and the company.
Gilly said: Well done to those who took up my Magashori with extra chilli challenge!
Sue Bracey found it difficult to finish all the food she had ordered but said it was great.
Nic Tuttiett said there was enough food to fill an elephant and asked for a doggy bag to take her uneaten portions home for tomorrows dinner.
Phil Williams agreed with all the above sentiments saying: Good selection, plenty to eat and good company.
And Gemma Baker summed up the feelings of all by adding Im stuffed.
The group highly recommended Banquet Night for the hungry gourmets among you.”
