Borderlescott set for Newmarket return

Borderlescott is likely to make his seasonal debut in the stanjames.com Palace House Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.

The seven-year-old speedster, winner of the Nunthorpe Stakes at Newmarket in August, is reported by trainer Robin Bastiman to be ready for action.

"He's more forward than he was last year, he's done a bit more work," said Bastiman.

"We've been preparing for this race as he's well suited by the weights If everything goes well, he'll run – he's been working well."
