First in the queue for last day of Banksy
First in the queue for the last day of the Banksy vs Bristol Museum exhibition was a group from Wales.
The Perrin family from Presteigne had first tried to get into the exhibition last week but the queue was too long.
-

So they came back at 2am yesterday armed with blankets, crisps, chocolate and drinks.
Their determination paid off and they were first into the museum when the doors opened at 8.30am.
Stacey Perrin, aged 18, was with dad Declan, 44, her brother Ben, 11, and friends Ruby Plant, 15, and Rebecca Powell, 18.
Stacey said: "We came on Friday and the wait to get in was four hours. We didn't have any food or drink with us so we decided to come back today."
Ruby said: "My mum came earlier in the month with all her friends and said it was brilliant. My dad has some of Banksy's books and I've seen some of his work on the internet."
Mr Perrin said: "I've never seen any of his work and know nothing about him."
After walking around the museum with the crowds and trying to find the Banksy pieces hidden among the displays on the upper floors, they said the exhibition was brilliant and it was worth staying up all night to see.
"We really enjoyed it," added Stacey. "I think my favourite was the moving chicken nuggets."
Ruby liked the sad-looking animatronic Tweetie Pie bird best, while Rebecca's favourite piece was the policeman in riot gear riding the children's playground horse.
The group found themselves in the spotlight too for being the first through the doors on the last day.
"Photographers kept coming up to us and asking to take our picture," said Stacey.
Jill Cooper, 44, secured a place near the front of the queue by arriving at 3am with sister Ellen Weeks and niece and nephew Jamie and Tom Weeks.
They had folding chairs with them to keep comfortable in the five and a half hours before the doors opened.
Jamie had already seen the exhibition once but wanted to see it again.
Jill, of Yate, said: "It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
Jade Smith and her husband Sam, both 29, from Cheltenham, arrived at 6am and were among the first 30 to go in.
Sam, a marketing manager, said: "We came here on Saturday and there was a six-hour wait.
" There was no way I was going to wait six hours so we decided to come back today."
Jade said: "I am an art teacher so I had to come really. All my pupils say Banksy is really cool."

“Uh, yeah my dad may not of heard of Banksy, or seen any of his work, but he agreed to take me and my friends to the exhibition, seeing as it was the only way we could get there. Also, it was quite annoying having loads of people coming up to us asking for photos all day, we did not in any way want "to be touched by celebrity and being part of the newest fad". We simply wanted to see the exhibition. Also, I think they misheard us, we set off at 2am, so we started queuing at about 5am, because we were told on Friday that by 6am most days there had been a huge queue already. We had each other to talk to, and a few episodes of the mighty boosh on an ipod, so we weren't exactly bored either.
just wanted to set you all straight with your assy comments. they're not really needed.”

“The exhibtion was great but not worth turning up at 2am to wait six and a half hours to spend an hour not looking at the art but taking as many pictures as your digital camera could handle .
camera's should not have been allowed the amount of dimwits taking photo's was really annoying especially when you get asked to take a picture of a mother and young son on the "put your face" in here piece.
Wrong Wrong Wrong”

“"Photographers kept coming up to us and asking to take our picture, said Stacey"
And there we have it folks- this is the mind set of EVERYONE who went to see this exhibition. Wanting to be touched by celebrity and being part of the newest fad.”

“Did they not realise that turning up at 2am when the exhibition didn't open til 8.30am still meant they had a 6 and a half hour wait?!
I'm not being funny, but I'd much rather wait in the daylight and when there are other people to talk to!”
