City safety guide
BRISTOL: Lifeskills Guides are all volunteers and are trained to take small groups around the city centre using an interactive approach to explain key safety messages.
It is suitable for someone who likes working with children, would like to improve their safety and has one or two days spare each month.

Kingswood: A volunteer is needed for either a morning or afternoon to help the administrator at the Park Centre.
They will be required to help in the office, serving refreshments or with various other activities.

ST PHILIP'S: Emmaus Bristol is seeking volunteer drivers and electricians to support formerly homeless people in the charity's recycling business in Barton Manor.
Donations of furniture, household goods, electrical goods, bicycles and bric-a-brac are also welcome.

Heart foundation shop
BEDMINSTER: The British Heart Foundation shop in East Street needs people who can spare a few hours a week.
The charity needs honest volunteers to help with all aspects of the shop, from tagging and selling goods to book work and cleaning.

Bristol: SPH is a registered charity which helps people with multiple sclerosis who need DIY help in their homes and gardens.
It needs volunteers to help with decorating. Travel and lunch expenses are paid.

Become a driving force
PORTBURY AND AVONMOUTH: Volunteers are needed at the International Seafarers' Centre, Royal Portbury Dock, to drive seafarers in the centre at Royal Portbury Dock and Avonmouth Docks, along with possible shopping trips.
Most trips will be in the evenings, between 6pm and 10pm.

Emotional distress
Bristol: Bristol Mindline is a helpline for people experiencing mental or emotional distress.
The helpline is open Wednesday to Sunday, 8pm-midnight, on 0808 808 0330. We recruit for volunteers to work on the helpline and to take part in our training programmes in February and September. The training is in basic counselling and listening skills and runs all day Mondays and Thursday evenings for six weeks.
