Three points on the road for Yeovil Town at London Road
Full-time: Peterborough United 1 Yeovil Town 3. Yeovil Town took advantage of a disastrous display from former England squad goalkeeper Joe Lewis to surge to victory at London Road, writes Nathan Jones.
Two goals in three first-half minutes from Paul Wane and Aaron Brown gave the Glovers a 2-0 half-time lead.
Aaron Mclean made it 2-1 before Lewis, who had earlier struggled on crosses, punched a Shaun MacDonald shot into his net.
Yeovil boss Russell Slade replaced the suspended Terrell Forbes and Danny Schofield with skipper Terry Skiverton and Lee Peltier.
And the Glovers had the first chance when Andy Welsh cut in from the left flank but saw his shot sail wide of the far post.
After a quiet opening 25 minutes, Craig Mackail-Smith burst past Skiverton but Josh Wagenaar saved well with his body and Brown cleared.
Mackail-Smith then headed over when unmarked at the far post from a George Boyd cross before Skiverton did likewise from a Craig Alcock centre at the other end.
And Yeovil took the lead on 31 minutes when Welsh's inswinging corner was headed out of Lewis's hands by Brown at the near post for Paul Warne to head in from a yard.
Within two minutes it was 2-0 when a corner from the same side from Welsh was flicked over his shoulder and in at the near post by Brown.
And it was nearly 3-0 when Aleksander Prijovic got in down the right side. Lewis fumbled the shot behind for a corner.
But Skiverton then had to hobble off with a leg injury and was replaced by Keiran Murtagh with Peltier moving to centre half.
Posh's first chance since going behind went to Mclean but he shot wide after being released by Boyd.
Then in stoppage time Mclean headed past Wagenaar but Jon Worthington got back to clear off the line.
Peterborough halved the lead after 56 minutes when neat work on the right byline from Boyd saw him centre for Mclean to score his 15th of the season with a first-time strike.
Boyd then should have equalised after good work from Shaun Batt but shot weakly when in plenty of space 14 yards out.
A rare Yeovil attack saw Welsh's shot tipped over for a corner but it came to nothing but normal service was then resumed when Wagenaar made a trademark block to deny the increasingly influential Boyd.
However, Yeovil's two-goal lead was restored on 70 minutes when Lewis could only fumble a hopeful, low shot from MacDonald into his net from 25 yards.
