Third place for Wotton Rovers in Bristol Girls League
Wotton Rovers Under-12s secured runners-up spot in the Bristol Girls League by beating Downend A 3-0.
After an early shock when the visitors hit the bar from a corner, Alice Baker opened the scoring for Wotton, slotting the ball home from close range.
Six minutes later, Lois Iddles was on target to take them into a 2-0 lead at half-time.
Solid defending by Josie Buist, Elise Clements, Megan Spill and keeper Annie Law ensured Downend didn't get many chances, and midway through the second half, Wotton completed the win when Iddles netted the third.
Becky Nash fired a hat-trick as Ashton Girls B Under-11s and Yate Town drew 3-3.
Two goals by Nash sent Ashton into a 2-0 lead, only for the outstanding Saffron Hill to net twice to level for Yate.
Ashton reclaimed the lead as Nash completed her treble, but Elle Christopher had the last word for Yate.
