TOP pianist Allan Schiller gave a masterclass to students at Winterbourne International Academy.

The pianist, who specialises in playing Mozart, visited the South Gloucestershire academy to work with music students.

Allan Schiller was visiting to perform a concert at the academy's arts centre last night.

At the day-long workshop, he helped the students, aged 11 to 16, to develop several orchestral pieces to be played at the concert.

Mr Schiller is recognised as one of the finest pianists of his generation and played concerts in Salzburg and Cape Town to mark the 200th anniversary of Mozart's death.
