spent my childhood and most of my adult life in Bristol. It is still very much a regional centre rather than an international city, which i like. There is also a lot of interesting things going on and i find the place a bit cranky.. i mean we produced Bankski, we can't get a regular premeiur league football club, and we are got at losing international events like 'the wine festival' and 'power boat racing' .. Britol central is nice with its mix of docks, historical buildings, parks and shops all in one place.
congestion, dirty, rubbish, derilict buildings, petty minded, ineffective councillors. 'sound byte' NHS managers, lack of transport infrastructure, failure to introduce a light railway system, councils taking on to much without the funding to pay for it. high rates..
“unlocking millions of pounds of government funding??? yes to mayor..!!!! ”
