Glennie Derrick, the trust's voluntary services manager, said: "We are looking for energetic, outgoing and caring people who would enjoy helping and guiding patients and visitors within the public areas of UHBristol.

"Wayfinding volunteers will be given training and knowledge of the organisation and the whereabouts of its clinics and wards. With the support of managers and clerical staff, these volunteers perform an important role as ambassadors for the Trust welcoming patients and visitors and helping them find their way to their destinations."
